A clinical example is presented that demonstrates the capabilities of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the diagnosis of kidney damage and their complications at different periods of traumatic disease. An optimized MRI protocol has been demonstrated, which allows for timely diagnosis of kidney damage and determines the treatment regimen.

Aim. To study the associations of angiotensinogen (AGT) (s4762(С521Т), rs699(Т704C)) and angiotensin II receptor type I (AGTR1) (rs5186(A1166C)) genetic polymorphisms with serum levels of insulin, glucagon, C-peptide, leptin, as well as with dyslipidemia and glycemic levels in Dagestan residents with combination of type 2 diabetes (T2D) and hypertension (HTN), as well as with isolated T2D/HTN.Material and methods. We examined 16 patients with isolated T2D, 59 patients with T2D+HTN and 51 patients with isolated HTN from Dagestan. Genetic polymorphisms of the AGT and AGTR1 genes were studied. The levels of insulin, glucagon, C-peptide, and leptin were studied by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), while lipid and carbohydrate metabolism — by biochemical methods.Results. In patients with T2D, the association of CC genotype of AGT gene rs4762(С521Т) polymorphism with a leptin decrease was determined, while its CT genotype was associated with an increase in serum level of triglycerides. The TC genotype of AGT gene rs699(Т704C) polymorphism was associated with an increase in leptin, triglyceride and glucose levels. The AA genotype of AGTR1 gene rs5186(A1166C) polymorphism was associated with an increase in insulin and glucose levels, as well as a decrease in leptin level. In patients with a combination of T2D and HTN, CC and CT genotypes of AGT gene rs4762(С521Т) polymorphism was associated with a decrease in glucagon level. The TT genotype of AGT gene rs699(Т704C) polymorphism was associated with an increase in insulin, triglyceride, glucose and body mass index (BMI) levels. In isolated HTN, the CC and CT genotypes of AGT gene rs4762(С521Т) polymorphism were associated ith a decrease in glucagon level. The TT genotype of AGT gene rs699(Т704C) polymorphism was associated with increased levels of insulin, low density lipoproteins, and BMI.Conclusion. Associations of AGT (s4762(С521Т), rs699(Т704C)) and AGTR1 (rs5186(A1166C)) genetic polymorphisms with carbohydrate and lipid metabolism changes are an important pathogenetic link of T2D and HTN, which allows developing an individual prognosis of these diseases in Dagestan residents.

Aim. The environmental-epidemiological monitoring of socially significant pathology and its forecasting for the development of effective preventive measures and environmental quality management methods in the Republic of Dagestan. Material and Methods . An epidemiological analysis of public health indicators was carried out in 41 municipalities and 10 urban districts of the Republic of Dagestan. This was carried out through current and retrospective analysis of regional health indicators, medical-geographical and mathematical statistical analysis. The data sources for the main indicators reflect the epidemiological situation in the Republic of Dagestan from 1997 to 2016. Results. An understanding of the status of the main epidemiological indicators of the condition of public health of the region's rural and urban population was obtained and future dynamics predicted. An integrated assessment of the well-being of the territory of the republic revealed areas and cities with adverse trends in public health in the main groups of socially significant and environmentally-related pathologies. Conclusions. An integrated assessment of the state of well-being in the Republic of Dagestan by groups of epidemiological indicators of general morbidity, general morbidity of various age groups of the population, socially significant and environmentally-caused morbidity, as well as a forecast of their dynamics, revealed adverse trends in public health in rural populations of Tsuntinskiy, Akhtynskiy, Gunibskiy, Kulinskiy, Tabasaranskiy, Nogayskiy, Novolakskiy, Suleiman-Stalskiy, Khasavyurtskiy, Tarumovskiy districts and of the cities of Kaspiysk, Dagestanskie Ogni, Makhachkala and Kizilyurt. An analysis of the sources of supplies of drinking water revealed a positive correlation between heavy metals content and adverse trends in socially significant pathology in the regions of Northern Dagestan.

The present article is devoted to the continued during 2015-2016 years field archaeographic researches in a number of mountain and plain regions of Daghestan in order to find out the new collections of manuscripts and old-printed books in Arabic, Turkic and Daghestan languages (written by using Arabic graphic). The archaeographic expedition had worked at eight regions of Daghestan. There were found out 2 new collections of manuscripts in Akushinsky region, 2 collections in Botlikh region, 1 collection in Shamilsky region, 1 collection in Makhachkala city, 6 collections in Khasavurt and 6 collections in Buynaksk regions, 3 collections in Karabudakhkent and 3 collections in Kizlyar regions, 8 collections in Nogay region - all together 32 collections. Among them there are manuscripts, a large number of old-printed books (lithographies published in Temir-Khan-Shura, Petrovsk, Bakhchisaray, Khasavyurt, Kazan, Istanbul, Cairo), andletters and documents dated within the middle of the XVII-XIX centuries.The total amount of the described manuscripts and old-printed books dated within the XIII-XIX centuries is more than 950 units of description. Among the new findings are the excellently made Qurans of the XIII-XIX cent. and comments to the Quran (the earliest manuscript was re-written in 677/1278) with numerous memorable records and assembly materials; the manuals on Grammar of the Arabic language studied in the Daghestan madrasahs in the XIII-XIXth centuries (AbdarrakhmanDjami, Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr, Ruknaddin al-Hasanibn Muhammad al-Astarabadi, IzaddinAbdalvakhabibn Ibrahim az-Zandjani, Mahmud az-Zamakhshari, Ahmad ibn Ali ibnMa‘sud, Muhammad al-Ardabili, Ahmad ibnDinkuziar-Rumi, etc.); compositions on logic (Aduaddin al-Idzhi, Muhammad Sachaklizade al-Mar‘ashi, Ahmad ad-Damankhuri, Asiraddin al-Abkhari, Nu‘manibn Sheikh Said ash-Shirvani); on Hadith (al-Bukhari, an-Navavi), on lexicography (Abu Nasr Ismail ibnHammad al-Djaukhari), on Sufism (al-Gazali, al-Kushayri; date of creation is approximately XVII century), etc.

The paper presents the results of the research on the extraction and study of the composition of the oil from the fruit pulps and seeds of Southern Dogwood (Swida australis). The method of circulating extraction was used to produce oil. The resulting extracts were converted to fatty acid methyl esters and studied using a mass spectrometer. It is found that the total amount of lipids that can be used in food industry is more than 70%. The oil composition includes a significant amount of omega acids, as well as a small amount of organic acids, hydrocarbons and esters. During the research we found Squalene in the oil of fruit pulps of Southern Dogwood. It is a valuable biologically active substance, which is absent in seed oil and used in medicine and cosmetology. Southern Dogwood is a promising source of edible vegetable oils and biologically active substances.

The article considers such aspects of organization of medical rehabilitation care of population as accessibility, quality, social efficiency from perspective of medical ethics. The quality of diagnostic, prevention and treatment of diseases is affected by qualification of medical personnel that is applied both to areas of clinical medicine and health care management. The specialists are to apply common principles and standards of health care. Among them are support of valuable quality of medical care under optimal application of available resources and observance of medical ethics standards. The Republic of Dagestan is anagrarian region where 55% of population resides in rural area and most of health care resources are cumulated in urban area. The indices of health of population residing in rural area are in many parameters worse than in urban population and provision of medical institutions with medical personnel is low. The specialized medical care support including medical rehabilitation, of rural population, is provided without additional managerial decisions and is much more difficult as compared with patients residing in urban area. Hence in conditions of necessity of optimization of resource support of health care system functioning no extensive development of possibilities of medical rehabilitation is possible in rural residents of Dagestan.

The article considers the positioning of medical rehabilitation in the health care system. The position of world Health Organization related to significance of rehabilitation for health is demonstrated. The main concepts and definitions of medical rehabilitation are analyzed in details.

We report here the use of an electrochemical method to simplify and reduce the number of stages in the chemical synthesis of Anesthesin (the ethyl ester of p-aminobenzoic acid) from p-nitrotoluene. Methods for electrolysis and product extraction are described. The yields per unit current of the intermediate product p-nitrobenzoic acid and the end product Anesthesin on graphite electrodes increased with increases in the starting substance concentrations, and yields were 98% and 99% respectively in 0.4-M solutions.

The effect of CdCI2 (0.25 mg /l) on the proteolytic enzyme activities of the carp tissue are studied. The results confirm the involvement of cathepsin D and neutral protease in the development of the organism's response to the action of cadmium ions.
